I'd like to say sram is better just because of the 1:1 actuation ratio.
I tried a sram x9 rear derailleur in my bike, but i couldn't get it dialed in. The shimano 105 rd I have works great.
I do prefer sram shifters 4 sure.
It's like comparing nissan to toyota.
